As River came in and Alphonse formed a team with Shale and Kestral. Things where pretty tame, that is, until there was a loud crash and explosion. Eyes turned to the front of the guild as a shape flew in, bounced and rolled until it hit the bar. It took people a moment to realize it was a person, and the Fairy Tail stamp on the person's cheek sunk home.
This was a member of the guild, his skin cut and brushed and charred. He was the member of a team of three mages. They had left for a mission about three days ago. On the man's chest, there was a note that rose up so all could read. "
A gift for you Faries. Although he will live, we will kill the other two in three days. Dark Guild Ironmen.
Giovanni and many of the other mages read the note with hatred.
Alphonse stood up and adjusted his tie, looking at Shale and Kestral. "Come on... we are going to save them." He said. As he started to the door, Giovanni looked over at Alphonse and spoke up. "You three... take River with you, she'll be able to help you out as well."

Kestrel nodded at Shale. Her transformation would come in handy indeed, of that she was sure. However, when the crash came and the figure hit the barcounter, Kestrel was startled and she jumped out of the way. The figure was human, though she couldn't place him with an identity, she was sure she had seen the man somewhere within the guild a few days back. When she read the note, she quite literally growled in rage. How could someone do something like this?!
Alphonse took the lead and told the two girls that they'd be saving the mages. Which was perfectly fine with Kestrel, if he hadn't said anything, she would've. After a name was mentioned, she turned to look at the woman she assumed was called River: she had just sat down. The more the merrier.
"Good. Let's show them what the Fairy Tail is made of." She snarled, obviously angry. She quickly took a piece of paper from the counter (a napkin, actually) and after fishing a pen, she quickly scrawled something on it and gave it to the bartender.
"If my sister comes by, give her this, okay?" After the barkeep agreed, Kestrel said her thank-yous and nodded her head, turning towards her new rag-tag group of mages. She was ready to rumble...
maybe if i stand here like this, they wont see me... >.> <.<

Shale had jumped slightly in surprise as the man with the Fairy Tale mark on his cheek was sprawled across the floor. With a rage that was rarely shown, she jumped up, wildly looking at the front door to the building. There was no one there, but she felt that he must have been there to see the Guild's reaction. "Right." Shale whispered in a cold voice, as she acknowledged Kestrel's announcement for a challenge. She clenched her fists, knowing that she would be ready to do anything. The money didn't matter anymore; In fact, it had been erased from her mind. Her rage subsided to a small burning flame in the back of her heart, knowing that there was no need for anger at the moment, and more for thinking.
Looking over at the girl named River quickly, a curious look passed her face, and she gave her a smile, hoping River would catch it before Shale turned to the serious manner as to were to start. The idea strummed in her mind like a tune, and she looked about her new team mates for answers as to were they should look first. She let her hand wander to her shoulder bag that was still draped around her shoulder, and thanked herself for always bringing everything she needed with her.
