River has large eyes that are very expressive. She keeps her hair cut to below her chin, at the longest to her shoulders. When it's not down and framing her angelic face, it's pulled back into a spiky ponytail. She usually wears dark baggy clothing. Occasionally though, one will see her in a skirt and a form fitting t-shirt. Those days usually occur on laundry day though when her pants and tank tops are dirty. When she does wear a skirt though, the keyring that holds her stellar spirits is tied to her hip with a black scarf that has hearts on it. The symbol of the Fairy Tail guild is printed on the right side of her neck

Bio
Personality: Ever since River was young, she has been a quiet person. She rarely spoke and only spoke when spoken to. Her love for those close to her is boundless. It’s difficult for her to trust others so she’s constantly weary of others until they are able to prove that they’re trustworthy to her, which could take anywhere from a few days to a few months. It all depends. Young River fears losing those she cares about or being betrayed. She also has a short temper, so those who look to anger her should fear.

At first glance, it seems like she doesn’t like people and would rather them all to jump off the face of the earth, but the truth is that she’s very withdrawn. When a person finally gets past the quiet exterior, she’s friendly. In truth, she’s a shy girl who’s unsure of what to do. She tries not to hold a lot of faith in the human race or in others but someone she manages to. Those that manage to slip past the cold exterior and get under her skin, she ends up loving forever.

River loves sweet things, especially anything that tastes like chocolate or has chocolate on it. She enjoys either sunlight or rain but it depends on her mood. On sunny days when she can slip away unnoticed she’ll find a nice shady tree and just fall asleep, disregarding work and research.

Dislikes: loud sudden noises, fire, being interrupted, idiots, being bored, having a nap interrupted.

History: River was born in one of the larger cities but at a young age her father moved them to one of the smaller towns for certain reasons involving the disappearance of River's mother. Since she was five, River was brought up strictly. She was not allowed to cry and if she did and her father found out there would be consciences. The strict upbringing quietened River. She became very introverted and shy around other humans.

As she grew older it became clear that being around normal people just weren't for her. She had always been curious about magic and mages. She had especially looked up to the mages of Fairy Tail. It all started on the day that she found a key. It wasn't much later that she found that it was the key that opened the gate of none other then Aries herself.

When River turned eighteen, she left home to join Fairy Tail. It took several weeks for her to actually make it to the place without getting lost (she had her mother's sense of direction). When she finally arrived, it was the first time she felt like she was home.

Though, like all the mages of Fairy Tail, she has her own baggage when it comes to her mother disappearing. She may act like she's over it by saying "why should I miss someone I don't remember?" but something is calling her to look for her mother. But what?
