Zieg made his way to a large house with many flowers, trees, and beautiful grass. Zieg was sure that other guy was close by. The air smell was thick on flowers. It seems like he had a flower under his nose. Though, it didn’t bother Zieg so much. The heat was a different matter. It was crazy hot today, or at least at this part of town.
Zieg face shown signs of not liking the heat at all. He even took off his jacket. Showing off his strong muscular body. Though he was rather sweaty and his odor wasn’t all that good. Zieg put his jacket near a tree until the mission was over. Some sweat came down to the side of his face. Zieg lifts his arm and removes it from his face.
Zieg found the guy the request the mission. “Thank you for coming. Just help a little by planting flowers, trees and such, “ said the gardener. Zieg nodes his head and said, “Understood.” Zieg walked around and grabs a hoe and racking the soil to soften it up. He striking the ground many times and leaving holes in the ground.
Ooc: shorter than my normal, but meh.

A sharp whistle pierced the serene display of sun, grass and birds chirping happily. This is some place. Wonder how long it took to cultivate? Sufficiently impressed by the Gardener's masterful workmanship; decadent aromas wafting through the air, picture perfect arrangements of flowers, bushes and a whole manner of different flora and fauna. Vess was only several paces behind the Fairy Tail member called Zieg, and no one could really blame him for being distracted.
With the Sun at the zenith f it's arc, the shiny son of a gun wasn't about to let up. Easily one of the hottest days of the year so far, it wouldn't be long before the all black leather jacket would cook the young Dragon Slayer, so rather than risk sunstroke, or severe dehydration, Vess freed himself of a layer or two.
“Thank you for coming. Just help a little by planting flowers, trees and such.“
"You're the boss!" shooting the ol' single finger, Vess masterfully turned the deadly weapon into a thumbs up and started on the work ahead of him. Equiped with a hoe and a waist level bag of various seeds, Vess decided to work a marginal distance from his partner so he could at least attempt conversation. "Hey, the name's Vess. How ya doin'?" Speaking in between swings, it took a while for Vess to actually complete his sentence, "I've seen your face around the bar and whatnot, how long ya been with the guild?"

Zieg kept digging away at the ground and paid little attention to the man named Vess. He had work to be done and that was his full attention was going to go too. Though, this didn’t mean mindless chit-chat was going to hurt the mission.
“Very hot and sweaty,” said Zieg, while still using the hoe. He looks over and see in hopes of Vess putting in the seeds. Team work was the name of the game. Vess had asked another question. Zieg looks up to him for a moment. “Since I was 15 years old. Though, I can’t remember anything before Fairytail,” said Zieg.
Zieg had gotten down with the soil and grabbed some flowers. Zieg wasn’t too sure how to plant them in correctly. So, he just did what he thought was how and put it in. “Despite being there so long, I’m not worthy of being the next Guild Master,” said Zieg under his breath bitterly.

“Very hot and sweaty.”
Vess could say something similar for himself. The humidity of the temperature was making things slightly uncomfortable, but at least the green around him would be loving it. So that at least gave him some consolation. Vess had experience with this sort of work before. Not first hand but the nights spent flying through books amassed by Fairy Tail gave him enough of an idea on how to do the work to a decent degree.
After having tilled enough of the land that the owner required, next came the seeding process. Much quicker and easier than breaking the dry earth, one could say arranging and using forethought to where various plants would grow required more mental exertion than physical. Not too much though, the Gardener had an idea of what would go where already.
"That must suck." A truly laconic statement, Vess was honest about how he viewed the situation. No childhood, no fond memories. Zieg was missing out. For a moment Vess pondered continuing his line of questioning, but something told him Zieggy boy wasn't one for disclosing his innermost to just anyone. As for the Guild Master remark, while he did feel a pang of sympathy for the man, that was one less body for competition, "Oh, that's a shame..."

Zieg set up more flowers. Zieg even planted some trees here and there. Putting on his perfect touch. The whole garden looks amazing. Even without Zieg and Vess. The garden is an amazing sight. This was one place Zieg wouldn't mind visiting here from time to time. Zieg look at the time and see his time here was almost here.
Zieg was cover in dirt. From a good hard day of work. “Going to need to take a bath. I’m fifthly,” said Zieg. His voice wasn’t bitter, or light. Just his normal voice. Zieg thought back and he couldn’t remember the last time he had smile or showed to much emotion on his face. Zieg lost all of that, but he wasn’t sure why.
According the guild master, it was still too early for him to know. Zieg didn’t care though. “Alright, that’s enough” said the Gardener. He gave Vess and Zieg rewards. “See you around, Vess.” Zieg then left.

All-in-all not a half-bad day's work, if Vess did say so himself. Not much else happened besides laborious manual labor stretching over a couple of hours, conversation was slim to nil and there was very little creative input the owner of the land actually took into consideration beyond the stock 'hmms' and nods.
Still, they did what they came here to do and got paid for what they came here to do, too. "Thanks pops! It's a nice place ya got here, hope it blooms a little more for ya." Waving his goodbyes to Zieg, Vess walked back to retrieve his jacket before stopping for the last time. "I'd like to come back here sometime, if that's alright?"
