Sereno had wandered the town in search on the ideal corner. It had to be popular, but not just with those in the middle class -though they did occasionally toss a jewel or two into his hat- there had to be those well off enough to actually be able to spare a couple jewels. Once they were impressed... they tended to be more generous in their offers.
When he found an appropriate spot he summoned Lyra, who immediately leapt at him. "Sereno! It has been too long! You pay too little attention to me. I know we have only met the once to make our contract... but you would think that you would pay a little more attention to me!"
Sereno took the time to console her before beginning to stretch and asking her to play something to attract the crowds attention. By the time he felt limber enough to perform a small crowd had gathered around the pretty little singer. Sereno made some room and asked her to change the song, this time to a favorite of his. The tune was upbeat, something he could actually dancing.
He started slowly, but by the time he was partway thorugh he was sweating. He was doing this for fun really... he enjoyed it. He did the occasional flip and his dance resembled an acrobatic performance put to music... which was a dance in and of itself. Mostly he did crowd pleasing tricks simply to hear people to clap... he liked to attract attention.
As Lyra brought her music to a halt the slightly larger crowd offered their applause before tossing a few more jewels into his cap... and moving on their way. He sat down and took a breather... he would perform again... but at the moment he was out of breath... all this mage stuff had gotten him out of shape... besides he didn't really need any money.
