Catching a Thief? (Mission)

Walking to the statution with his best friends Koinu, his dog, Sabaestion, his crow. Everythign was quite like it normaly was, life was joyful. But somthing was missing in Kooris life and it was Bithore, the dragon that raised him from a child. The wind chilled from the waters near the staution. He made it too the staution and got some infermation about his wereabouts from a hidden source.

He left iddmeditly after he was given the infermaion. A tall old rundown building at the edge of town stood infront of him with its dark energy. It leemed over Koori and sent a dark chill down his spine. But fortunetly his cruleness out best the dark energy and he walked into the seemingly harmless build. Konui followed and Sabastion waited out side and kept watch.

[Sphinx]

"The thief has chosen his place well." Sphinx muttered in his misty, whispering voice.

He materialized out of a dark, shadowed spot near Koori as the latter approached the building. Sphinx had a habit of simply appearing into the open from someplace dark. How he travels is unknown, and probably, people who knows the fact that he's the Dragon Slayer of Darkness might have an idea why he has such an uncanny ability to use adjacent dark places to pop out all of a sudden. Most people are surprised or annoyed by this, but Sphinx didn't mind. He couldn't care less about other people anyway. He eyed the dark building carefully, his steel gray eyes looking somewhat excited. He touched a darkened part of the building, and gradually melded with the shadows.

"I don't know your name yet, guildmate. I am Sphinxellar Melchessee. Call me Sphinx." Sphinx muttered mistily. "I'll see you inside. If the thief is here, he's in a world of trouble. After all. I am darkness incarnate."

Sphinx's steel gray eyes flickered and blinked for a bit, then it vanished altogether, suggesting that the Dark Dragon Slayer has started to move. It would be best if the others move as well. The thief could be anywhere in the building.

[Ranxus]

Kooris ears twitched as the windows slammed and crashed in the wind. This surly was a dark build possaiabley booby trapet. But he entered witout hesataion with Kouni by his side and Sabastion waiting out side for his return. Rain drippet from the werriy roof. Remembering the theif had no offensive attacks but there still was defensive and trap magic out there that can do some major damage to him and his partners.

He toko the risk slamming throught a door without thinking. A dark shady figure sprung around the room. " This must be a trap" The door slammed behind him and he took his fighting stance. The room filled with thin sharp strings that if you touched would turn to somthing horribaly evil. The figure got closer to him and almost hit him but somthing stoppet it.

[Sphinx]

Sphinx was traversing dark corridors after dark corridors, weaving thinly in and out of dark, shadowy spots on the ground. There are few things that would hamper him in the dark, which is fortunate for him, because the building was literally a hivespot for darkness. Every turn, there would be extremely dark spots that Sphinx could utilize. For a while, he was roaming aimlessly, looking for possible areas that the thief might hide. More than twice did he shut down exits, and by now, the only probably route the thief would come out of is the main entrance, which he already got covered by several improvised trap made from the items he found earlier.

"Where are you, little rat?" Sphinx whispered mistily to himself, entering what looked like a pitch black room.

As he entered, he could already feel something, or someone, standing on the opposite side of the room. There were two people, and he can already assume the other one was a guildmate of his, the other guy who entered with him in the building. From his position, his eyes were adjusting completely to the darkness, and by now, were sharp as if the room was lit by the sun itself. He could see tripwires connected to the wall, but the wires weren't normal. He pulled out a string of hair, and sent it towards the wires. The hair was cut easily! And so, they were sharp indeed.

"Looks like you've just upped the ante." Sphinx mistily said in his whispering voice, loud enough so that the two people in room would hear. So far, only his pair of steel gray eyes can be seen, while the rest of his body are well covered in the thick darkness that engulfs the room.

[Tanao Hiroiki]

He couldn't believe it! His team mates have left without him! Tanao felt that they disliked him to some extent. He wasn't quite sure, but it kinda felt that way. A sigh left his breath and mixed into the night air. He was used to being alone, but he didn't like it for sure. Travelling all this way and he hasn't found a person he found completely comfortable socializing with. His hopes for a true friend were slowly diminishing. But right now, he couldn't cry about it. He was still on a mission, and needed to act accordingly.

Travelling in the dark was more like a fifty-fifty with Tanao. He always felt more weak and tired in the darkness, and in the sun he felt more energized and happy. However, Tanao has traveled at night before. Tanao didn't know how much help he would be during this mission. Thankfully the enemy was said to have no offensive spells, plus it was a D-rank mission. It had to be easy, right?

Relief came when he saw his two guildmates conversing in front of a strange warehouse. This must be the place where the supposed "thief" was hiding. His two colleagues proceeded to go inside; once again, without him. "Why are they in such a rush?" He asked to himself while making his way indoors as well. What an invitation.

Finding himself a short distance behind one of his allies (the other one disappeared without a trace), Tanao thought that now would be a good time to inform his team member that he was here. "Hey! Wait up!" He shouted to his acquaintance, but then he realized that the thief might be alerted by his shouting. It seemed like his guildmember didn't hear him and went through another door. Tanao tried to follow him, but it shut in his face. Confused, he called to his team once more. "Are you alright? What is going on?" The door seemed to be made out of wood, which was an advantage to him.

Spell Name: Rotting Hand
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Close
Description: This spell is very similar to Nature's Blessing. By holding his hand near plants, they will start to rot and die.
Drawback: Can be magic consuming depending on the amount of energy given. The spell cannot be used to attack humans

With his left hand, he started to weaken the door. With each second, the door became thinner and weaker. The aura being released from his hand eating away at the wood. Then with his right hand, he punched the door and watched as it broke apart. It was quite dark, and no movement kept the air stiff. "What'd I miss?"

Koori felt downed by the fact he left his teammate behind. The room was dark and nothing could be seen in the house or the rooms. Were they in some kind of old magic that made everything dark. Maybe, but just as he was thinking that he could no longer hear or smell things (let alone he couldnt see anyways). With a nudge he flicked up a switch, the darkness was gone but he injured his hand turning on the light. His hearing slowly came back. When it did come back a sharp sound sliced through his ears.

Koori dropped to the ground in pain. It almost seemed as they could not hear it. The pain was hurting like hell but then every thing went quite and with his head agenst the ground he heard someone talking. They were talking about robbing Fairy tails main bank with the tunnel they just made." There Under Here!!!!!!" Koori smashed his hand throught the floor and started pulling up floor boards.

[Sphinx]

"Mmmmhh." Sphinx smacked his lips in intoxication. The area was saturated with dark magic, one that is literal too. Dealing with these sort of things is his forte, being well attuned with the type of element. He extended a hand towards his front, grabbing what looked like thin air, but it slowly materialized into a glowing, dark orb, which Sphinx ate up in one bite. He continued to do this, eating away at the darkness until he saw Koori flicked a switch, which somewhat dissipated the darkness, much to Sphinx's disappointment.

"I would've been more appreciative if you didn't do that." Sphinx remarked mistily, in his whispering voice, before approaching his guildmate. It was then that Sphinx was slightly taken aback when he saw Koori dropped down to the ground. Was it because of the magic? No, he did not know. Something must be causing his guildmate pain, but then he heard him blurt out about the thieves being underneath them.

"Well, this is interesting. I'm getting bored anyway. Time to let loose a little bit of that magic I ate." Sphinx mistily said, forming a fist on one of his hands. He then slammed a tight fist on to the flooring, excavating the entire floor, and revealing a wide hole underneath them. Underneath the hole were a few men standing idly about. Sphinx formed a malicious smile across his face and gave Koori and Tanao a slight glance.

"Well, boys. Its time we get ourselves a bunch of thieves." Sphinx muttered mistily, flexing his knuckles.

[Ranxus]

The thives heard the crashing from above and attempted to run for it. By that time Koori had already smashed through the flooring into the hidden under ground tunnel." Snot nose bastereds using light and sound magic on me. Ill Kick Your Asses!!!!!!!" Koori snapped down the tunnel after the bastereds running away from the constent cold air rushing from Koori.

But he remembered thhat they only knew defensive magic. Yet, the sound and light magic could have activated when he pulled the switch. He had to keep his eyes peeled as he chased after them. More and more tunnels appeared, they swerved and curved through the tunnels trying to best Koori, but his nose out bested them. They hit a dead end but these guys knew some offensive magic. The real thief was still out there wondering and stealing.

" Looks like your my first victems, I will bring you in after I finish with you, then ill go after your little friend." Koinu caught up and stood still barking. Koori Glaced back sensing strong dark magic from behind him, he wasnt sure if it was his partner or somthing else becuase he never reganised his smell untill now.

[Sphinx]

A wave of darkness passed Koori, generating a chilly air of terror. It was Sphinx, passing by after eating dark magic. He darted past Koori and his partners, aiming to get the other thieves. Darkness around the tunnel was expanding more and more, swallowing what little light the thieves have. A misty laughter can be heard echoing through the entire cave, followed by a loud manly scream. Sphinx has caught up to one of the thieves.

"You sure do like to run. Not that it matters. You actually made a pretty decent place that's dark enough to stop most people. Well, had you been fortunate enough, you'd have escape easily. But unfortunately for you and your fellow thieves," something incredibly sharp shot out from Sphinx's torso, impaling the thief's left shoulder. The thief screamed in agony as Sphinx grabbed hold of his neck by the collar of his shirt, eyeing him with intensity, "How should I torture you?"

The sharp object turned out to be a spear. It protruded towards the shoulder of the thief, extending until it reached 6 feet in length, after which, Sphinx grabbed hold of it, lifting the man up. It was torturous because the blood was dripping, and yet the spear held the man in place. He was practically screaming in agony, and it was echoing throughout the tunnel. Sphinx looked like he was enjoying himself, however, as he lodged the spear in between the crevice of the cave, leaving the man impaled and in so much agony.

"Now, shall we speak civilly, or do I have to force you to divulge where's the last person on your group going to? Sphinx asked in his misty voice, but the man lost consciousness from the pain. "What a pain. I hope those two guildmates of mine find the last one. This one here's not going anywhere."

Sphinx sat down beside the unconscious thief, waiting for the others to catch the last member of the thieving gang. He wanted to eat Ramen back at the guild already. The mission proved too easy for him. The thieves doesn't know any high level magic, not to mention, they were literally basking in darkness, which made Sphinx that much stronger.

Spell Name: Black Dragon Spear
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Self (spear weapon); short (range of impaling attack from initial release)
Description: Sphinxellar causes a dark spear to form from any part of his body, impaling in a single direction, and giving him a useable weapon. A long, dark rod made with darkness with a massive arrow-head tip on one end with jagged, razor blades is formed as a useable spear weapon. The weapon allows Sphinx to increase his attack range to 6 feet, which is the entire height of the spear. At night, the spear increases the damage it deals by 10% by absorbing the dark energies, making the tip vibrate, which increases penetration.
Sphinxellar can dissolve the spear at will, before the spear expires.

Drawback: When the technique is used, it cannot be used again for two posts after the spear has expired. Also, the spear can only be used for 5 of the user's post. While the spear is in existence, Sphinxellar cannot use any other non-Black Dragon weapon.

The real thief had a head start already so Koori took to the running after him. Koori sniffed the man out and smashed through the thin layer of earth above him. He grabbed the mans legs and pulled him down into the tunnels. So you are the one who has been stealing things huh? Koori seemed anger and icy cold.
