Character Application
Basic Name: Vessalius Celso Nickname: Vess, Tetsu Gender: Male Age: 20 Level: Greenhorn Guild: Fairy Tail
Description Height: 5'9" Weight: 174lbs Appearance:
By no means flesh, bone and nothing in between, neither is Vess a hulking giant. He'd probably say he had an athletic body type. What muscle there is clinging to his frame is incredibly defined and almost seems to bulge when compared to his lanky appearance. Not having particularly broad shoulders either, Vess doesn’t have the capability to dominate physically in size over others around his height or weight. Devoid of any embellishment or imperfection, Vess has found his abilities actually clean his skin of oils, dead skin cells and many other annoyances young males have. Leaving him with a smooth and impeccable epidermis. Foregoing the scarring centered around his left eye, that is.
Topped with a crop of awry white locks, his hair can assume various different styles allowed by a decent enough length. Shorter and more often than naught downcast at the front and sides of his crown, his hair at the back is actually longer but for some reason pointed up and outward. Lightly sun kissed, his complexion still remains fair but with a dose of healthy colour. Perhaps his most striking feature, even more so than the scarring around his left eye and cheek, are his eyes themselves. A vibrant sky blue, the hue almost seems to seep into his pupil under certain lighting.
Vess' dress can vary day-to-day, given his mood and the availability of clean or appropriate clothing. His pajamas consist of blue and black checkered cotton trousers that sit pretty loosely and a plain white muscle vest. For occasions demanding a little more, he can be seen wearing your standard black suit; shoes, trousers, shirt and jacket. Instead of a tie, he prefers a cravat. Even a monocle isn't too far out there. For everything else there is his black steel toe capped combat boots, black cargo trousers held up by a canvas belt with a latch buckle and white muscle vest and black leather jacket combo. Pretty plain stuff. His Fairy Tail stamp is situated at the nape of the back of his neck.
Weapons: -- Items: The fastest design of Wind Reading Glasses, Model 32.
Bio Personality: As complex as the mind is; firing synapses, interacting neurons. Vess, his actions and his thought processes really aren't that difficult to decipher. He is human and as such, has basic instincts and desires; those for food and rest, safety and security, interaction and stimulation. Being human however, comes with higher functions of understanding and expectation, and Vess has found his own system of operation.
In all honesty, his actions aren't all that well thought out. A balance between the innate desire for instant gratification and a personal sense of justice has found it's way at the helm thankfully. Gifted with intelligence, Vess is adept at recognizing and understanding the motives and actions of others, as well as the defects prevalent in all people but also how to accept these flaws and the people flaunting them. Pride would dictate Vess holds none of the defects he so readily points out. However, intelligence supersedes pride in that, not only does Vess acknowledge these within himself, he also accepts them.
Childishness, bitterness, envy, pride; such feelings and concepts exist and thrive,. However, Vess has the intelligence and understanding of himself to be at peace with these feelings in perpetual turmoil. Not a bloodthirsty person by nature, Vess regards the idea of taking life with distaste. Unfortunately, people are not permitted the luxury of picking and choosing the paths their enemies walk. Therefore Vess views killing under certain circumstances justifiable and while he does not openly seek those situations, he will not shy away when his duty calls.
Disregarding homicide for a moment, Vess is often very confrontational and playfully aggressive by nature but just as quick to end a fight as soon as he starts one. This fact serves to make others believe he is very unpredictable and dangerous but those that know him well understand his mood varies just like everyone else, and a different situation can warrant a different reaction depending on that mood.

History: Vess Celso's birth and subsequent youth was a period of his life cast under a dark haze; mainly for the fact he can't remember the majority of it but also for the fact they weren't exactly the wonder years of his life. Born the only child of an ordinarily unassuming family, their union was somewhat short lived. Around eight months to be precise. Traveling through a mountain trail, the Celsos' carriage was attacked by Bandits and Vess, hidden and sleeping through most of it, didn't even stir as his Mother and Father were killed.
His presence was eventually discovered but left to the elements as he was abandoned then and there. Hours passed and little happened. Then, babies did what babies do best and awoke in a sour mood. He cried. Relentlessly and without pause, he bawled into the ether for what must have been eternity. So much so that he awoke the attention of a rather large and spiky looking Dragon. From then on, he had a new family. Lucky enough for him, it turned out to be compassionate and took him in to take care of him.
As he grew up, he learned what he could of the world with the aid of an ancient creature who lived through most of it. Not only that, but he was taught in the ways of Dragon Magic. How to shape and mold himself into a powerful weapon. Unfortunately enough, at the beginning of his tutelage, an accident occurred. Resulting in his current scarring. Thankfully however, his sight was saved. There were days when he was allowed expeditions into the heart of the population, training exercises in themselves. It was all very well and good training the body and the mind in the academic, but if Vess couldn't function in society, there would be very few opportunities to offer his services. Or, more importantly, have his services accepted.
At the age of eighteen, Vess decided their tenure together had come to an end and needed to see the world in it's entirety for himself before learning anymore. After paying his final respects to his savior and teacher, Vess set off walking on the dusty trail into civilization. Finding his way into the bookshelves of the esteemed Fairy Tail Guild, Vess settled in fairly well. Given the opportunity to explore to his hearts content on Missions as well as read the massed trove of knowledge during his down time. Yep, life was sweet.
Magic Mage Type: Dragon Slayer Elemental Affinity: Metal Skills: Martial Arts. Speed Specialist. Spells:
Unique Spell: Dragon Skin Level: Greenhorn Range: Self Description: The User's body is covered in very dense skin, like chain mail, making it almost immune to all metals. Drawback: --
Spell Name: Iron Skin Level: Greenhorn Range: Self Description: The most basic of Metal Dragon Slaying Magic and the basis for many other technques, the User's body quickly becomes covered with dark slate-gray metal scales that increase offensive and defensive abilities. These scales offer added protection on top of his already formidable skin and by reinforcing physical strikes with increased density and impact force, greater damage can be achieved. Iron Skin can be sustained for as long as the User demands, as even only a small change can produce effective results; those being twenty five percent defensively and fifteen percent offensively. Drawback: --
Spell Name: Shark Skin Level: Greenhorn Range: Self Description: The User configures the metal scales along their body in such a way that produces blade-like formations. So far, the configurations are as follows; as a single cutting surface like a sword and saw-like protrusions meant to shred. Most effective along the forearms and legs, they can still be formed anywhere as the User demands. The configuration lasts as long as the User demands also, but must be reset every time the Iron Skin technique is reestablished. The User's limbs do not actually become these implements, the skin simply adopts the characteristics of such weapons. Drawback: Can only be used while metal scales surround portions of the User's body. Must be reset every time Iron Skin is reestablished. Depending on configuration, defensive power may be lost.
Spell Name: Iron Fist Level: Greenhorn Range: Self Description: By sacrificing the protection offered by the Iron Skin technique around other portions of their body, the User can quickly pile metal onto attacking limbs, engorging them to double their size, to dramatically increase their offensive power for a single post. At which time the added metal will disperse around the User's body. Only one limb at a time can be affected and a maximum potential of thirty percent can only be achieved if Iron Skin is already in effect. Drawback: Full potential can only be achieved while Iron Skin is in effect. Protection offered by Iron Skin around other parts of the User's body is lost while in use. Only lasts for one post with a one post cooldown.
Spell Name: Spike Level: Greenhorn Range: Self-Short Description: Without warning the User can summon a fairly large spike of metal to erupt from anywhere along their body. Up to a maximum of one foot in length, the spike would measure roughly two inches in diameter. If the Iron Skin technique is already in effect, the maximum increases to a foot and a half in length, with a diameter of three inches. There is no limit to the amount of spikes that can be created, as long as there is enough space for them along the User's body. Drawback: Full potential can only be achieved when Iron Skin is already in effect.
Spell Name: Bullet Level: Greenhorn Range: Short-Mid-Long Description: The User points their fingers and thumbs toward their intended target and shoots a small bullet from the digit's tips. Effective and accurate, each finger must be reloaded after every shot. Drawback: One post cooldown to 'reload'.

Since this is dragon slayer. I'm going be an @$$.
I'm going to need some more of personality, appearance, and another paragraph for history.
Most of those spells are high level spells from the manga...Your going to need to weak them up or use different spells and also be more detail on them.
On reading glasses, are you saying you have over 32 glasses? o.O

Everything seems alright so far but one thing.
pell Name: Iron Fist Level: Greenhorn Range: Self Description: By sacrificing the protection offered by the Iron Skin technique around other portions of their body, the User can quickly pile metal onto attacking limbs, engorging them to double their size, to dramatically increase their offensive power for a single post. At which time the added metal will disperse around the User's body. Only one limb at a time can be affected and a maximum potential of fifty percent can only be achieved if Iron Skin is already in effect. Drawback: Full potential can only be achieved while Iron Skin is in effect. Protection offered by Iron Skin around other parts of the User's body is lost while in use. Only lasts for one post with a one post cooldown.
for green horn, 50 percent is a little much, isn't it?
