Iria’s skin is ghostly pale. She has light pink hair that falls freely past her hips. Her eyes are also a pale pink color that match her hair and give off a blank feeling. She’s a bit short and has small features that almost give her the look of a porcelain doll; the fact the she is normally dressed in Lolita fashion doesn’t help either. Originally Iria decided to wear such frilly clothing because of the shop, but she’s grown quite attached to it and now wears it even when she isn’t working.
Weapons: Throwing Knives
Items: Light Pen
Bio
Personality: Due to her wealthy upbringing, Iria is a soft spoken girl who prides herself in acting like a lady. She enjoys drinking tea and the smell of incense that she always insists on filling the antique shop with. Iria enjoys running her aunt’s shop quite a bit and wouldn’t mind at all if Aunt Carlotta decided to retire early and allow her to keep the shop. Not only is it a wonderful feeling to meet customers and learn the history behind all of the marvelous objects that are brought in, it also keep her parents off her back about joining the guild.
Despite growing up in affluence, one of Iria’s favorite activities is cleaning up around the shop. Perhaps it’s because her parents had always insisted that such work wasn’t suitable for a proper lady. Perhaps it’s because cleaning up means that there won’t be any dust around to make her allergies act up. Either way, she had a habit of reaching for the nearest broom or feather dusted if the shop is having a slow day.
Iria’s personality tends to change completely when she’s working. While attending the store, she is friendly and outgoing. The girl is never afraid to ask questions and loves to make small talk with the customers or entertain their children with dolls while they look around. On the other hand, when she’s not working she has a bit of a shy streak and isn’t very talkative. This is yet another reason why she enjoys working at the antique shop so much; it always seems to fill her with confidence. The girl will only use her magic to fight if absolutely necessary. One of the reasons she doesn’t want to join a guild is because she’s worried about having to fight. Violence without a good reason disgusts her; it’s barbaric and serves no purpose.
Likes: Dolls, antiques, incense, old books, and children
Dislikes: Dust, bright lights, violence, and things that taste bitter
Jobs: Iria runs a small antique shop.
Other: Iria is allergic to dust.
History: Iria’s family is a wealthy family. Her parents are both part of the FairyTail, and they always had high hopes for their only child to follow in their footsteps. They would buy her books, hire tutors for her, and always encourage her to act like a proper young lady. Most of all they wanted her to become a skilled mage and work to make their family proud. However, Iria’s parents had always been quite overprotective of their child. They often made all of Iria’s decisions for her without thinking about what she wanted. They weren’t doing it on purpose; the two of them were just so hung up on ensuring that she was successful that they didn’t stop to think that maybe she needed space or to try being independent. It didn’t even cross their minds that their only child didn’t WANT to join the FairyTale guild or become a powerful mage.
Iria had always felt like she was being smothered by her parents. She knew they meant well, but it was hard to live up to their expectations. Most of the time she would just smile and go along with their decisions because she knew how hard they worked to make her happy. Something was missing though. As much as she didn’t want to disappoint them, Iria was tired of being cooped up inside with nothing to do except read books or be tutored in various things that her parents thought it would be neat to learn. The girl spent sixteen years putting up with it until a fateful letter arrived one evening.
Iria had received a letter from her aunt Carlotta. Carlotta owned a little antique shop in Magnolia Town. Apparently she wanted to travel the country, but didn’t want to leave her shop unattended for so long. Iria jumped at the chance and started packing her bags for the trip to Magnolia Town. Her parents argued with her about it until her mother got an idea. The parents discussed amongst themselves that she would be closer to the FairyTail guild if she went to Magnolia Town; maybe that would help persuade her to join. Eventually Iria was allowed to travel from their home in Shirotsume Town to Magnolia Town where the shop was. This would be the start of a brand new life.
