Basic
Name: Xander Mihael Vir
Nickname: 'The Pariah'
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-Six
Level: Greenhorn
Guild: N/A
Description
Height: Six foot, two inches (6' 2'')
Weight: One-Hundred and Ninety-Five Pounds (195 lbs.)
Appearance: It would be incorrect to say that Xander was a man. Xander was something more and something less all at once. A man and a demon, two beings in one body. Xander is a man, reaching only slightly above the six foot mark in height. He is of a slender build, but has considerabl muscle tone to accompany the appearance. He does not look 'Thin' or 'Scrawny'. At first glance it is easy to notice that Xander is not your average human. He seems to be divided into portions, most of which are dominated by the human form he once was, and a few traits of the demon inside that has infected each portion, either in a minascule way, or even a significant one.
From right to left, Xander tends to move from human-like to demonic in appearance. His right arm, leg, hand, and body are mostly unscarred from the demon slumbering inside his body. The demon's infection begins with his right eye. An eye, no different than any human being's, but the iris that was once a natural hazel brown hue had become a sickly pale yellow tint, though that simple discoloration wasn't all. The shape of the eyes was also altered, causing the eyes to stretch outward towards the ears slightly, creating an almost cat-like appearance. Xander's eyebrows are also known to be thin and pointed, creating a naturally evil stare from the man. Moving a little more left of Xander's face you reach his left eye, which has been completely engulfed by the demon's appearance. The natural milky white portion of the eye had been completely altered into an ink black coloration, and the iris as well had vanished completely. Only the pupil remains, though even it's natural dark black color has been permenantly shifted to a shining sky blue color, the obvious color of the demon.
Moving only a short distance below the eyes of Xander, you come across a long scar that reaches to an inch past his nose to the right of his face, and clear across to the left of his face, and barely underneath the ear, where the scar vanishes into his hair at teh back of his neck. To Xander's far left is the biggest and most noticeable feature of the demon's. His arm. Xander's entire left arm has been consumed by a dark skin, almost black like ink, but the skin itself is no different in structure or composition than that of a human's skin. In the middle of his hand (the back side) is a large eye, radiating in blue light, the same light that shines from various slits in his arm.

Bio
Personality: The Human Rebel – Xander is still a majority human, and it is obvious that his human form is the reason he strives for resistance against authority. Xander, due to the events in his past, does not see any side as good or evil, only lawful and chaotic, and neither is a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ term in his eyes. Whether a guild follows the laws of the land or their own codes of conduct, Xander detests them. As a result of this attitude, Xander will not hesitate to openly pronounce his detest and hate for authority. Xander considers himself a truly free man, and feels that everyone else should feel precisely so.
The Human Attitude – Xander, again the human, has several interesting human qualities, such as his arrogance, loud mouth, and quick-to-anger personality. Xander can be easily infuriated if he feels outsmarted, out argued, just out played in nearly anything. It’s his competitive nature that fuels his frustration. He is also a young man that believes the world is godless, quite literally he believes no religions are correct or accurate. He believes that man is god, and the he himself is the greatest of men. What does that make him in his own eyes?
The Demon Pariah – The demon that has placed intself in Xander’s soul has slowly been leeching the man’s life away. Over time it appears as tough Xander is becoming more and more like this demonic being that is inside him. On occasion, Xander will be caught mumbling nonsense to himself, odd chantings, or speak in a voice that is not his own, and it is those times when the demon takes temporary control over the entire body of Xander. Xander is aware of this effect though, and reacts by separating himself from people as much as possible, which isn’t too difficult as people tend to avoid him anyway.
The Warmonger – Xander and the Demon due have comparable feelings though. Xander wants ultimate freedom for everyone, most of all himself, and the Demon is an agent of insanity and pain. Together they have compromised to accept each other in order to achieve both their goals, a fresh new start for mankind. Xander believes this, but the Demon, probably to know surprse, cannot be trusted to keep his word.
Likes: Xander enjoys a good story, a work out, beautiful women, his ideals of a new world, and the thought of being rid of the demon possessing his body.
Dislikes: Xander detests controlling figures, the Guilds, Governments, arrogant and haughty people, losing a fight, task, or even just a game.
Jobs: Self-Proclaimed Agent of Chaos

History: Chapter 1: Lady and the Merchant – Once upon a time in the beautiful city of Harujion, there was a lady. She was a young woman, beautiful, happy, and upper class. She literally had her choice of men in the world, yet none of them satisfied her needs. They were rich and handsome, but each one lacked the traits she so desired. Hard working, courageous, earning his own way, they were just boys thriving off the wealth of their fathers. However, there was one man, a young man her age, but she only saw him down at the docks a few weeks out of the year. He was a merchant’s apprentice, and he was Xander’s father (later on, Xander’s mommy and daddy didn’t fornicate yet), and she fell in love with him.
Xander’s father-to-be knew of the beautiful lady Harriet, she wasn’t royalty, but she was wealthy, she was known to be a woman of faith and have a strange taste of excitement in ways most women did not, or would even look down on. His father would have loved to love that girl, but knew with his statusless life, his chances were slim. He decided it was better not to bother with such thoughts, as it would only hurt him later after he realized it just wasn’t going to happen. It wasn’t some fairy tale after all.
This distant admiration was both sided, yet neither knew the other felt just the same way about each other. Xavier the Merchant’s Apprentice and Lady Harriet, the Beautiful Maiden of Harujion.
Some two years later, a terrible accident occurred. Xavier’s master, the wealthy merchant known as Harkonen, was killed in a viscious storm at sea, and with him, the first mate, and nearly all of the crew. Only a dozen made it home alive. Much to Xavier’s surprise, he was the successor of Harkonen’s entire trading company, which was well known in thecity of Harujion. This meant that Xavier’s status miraculously shot up to middle-class. Sure, he was still just a merchant, but it seemed so much closer now.
One day, Lady Harriet snuck away from her mansion home and visited the young strong Merchant Captain and Owner, Xavier. He was shocked to say the least, and when she admitted her feelings for him, he returned them promptly, and it was true love.
Chapter 2: Wealth, Prosperity, and Sex – The couple had been married only six months whenever Xavier hit a fortune in spice trade with distant nations. The wealth he acquired was so great that he could afford high class status, and like he always promised Harriet, to create a wealthy loving family for their children. She was happy, though it was not the wealth that intrigued her. She knew now that Xavier would be comfortable enough with life to try for offspring. Of so she thought anyway.
With his new fortune, Xavier spent what was needed for a ‘comfortable’ life, a healthy life for children and raising them safely and as educated sons who would inherit his company, and daughters who couldn’t even be contested against in beauty. His preparation took months upon months, and Harriet began to worry his ‘preparation’ was an excuse to hide his fear of sex, assuming there was one.
Later in the year, about fifteen months after marriage, Xavier was summoned over seas to see over a large merchant Alliance deal, and was gone for nearly nine months. Two years of marriage passed, and not a single attempt at producing an heir. On his return, Xavier came home to find his wife in a depressive state. Her skin was pale, she hadn’t been outdoors in months, the house was a mess, she had apperantly fired all the maids, and her eyes were darker from lack of sleep. What Xavier saw his wife, he was in shock, frightened that she was ill, and then she told him. “If you don’t give me a child, I will die.” She had been ready for years, and she simply would not allow Xavier’s odd behavior to stay this way any longer.
And they had sex.
Chapter 3: Four Beautiful Brown Eyes and Childhood – It was not a jackpot on their first or second time. They tried for nearly three months before it finally worked, and another three to realize it. Becoming pregnant completely revived Harriet from her depressive state, and about six months later, she gave birth to a set of twins. Xander and Henry, brothers, identical in appearance. Both the babes has thick brown hair within a year of birth, dark brown eyes that looked completely black from a distance, and charming giggling smiles.
The boys grew up healthy and strong, not a single day of illness or lazy activity. They ran everywhere, played everything, wrestled constantly, they were wild boys just like their father back in his Merchant Apprentice days. Harriet loved the boys more than anyone she had ever known, excluding Xavier of course.
As the boys grew older, they were tutored by the best teachers that their father could afford, which was pretty much the best in the area. They were raised learning mathematics, economics, mercantile, religion, theology, and government. Not a word of Magic was uttered, yet the boys found out by rumors that magic existed, just like in their story books. The boys were intrigued, but each time they asked their parents, they would simple state that magic was a lie. They were not convinced.
Chapter 4: Two Becomes One – The boys, being nearly thirteen years old, would often wander to go play in the wood or swim in the lake, and the day was one of those days they decided to follow the winding river for a few hours. Henry made the mistake of walking on the moss covered stones, and when he lost footing and tumbled into the water, Xander only laughed, assuming his twin was alright. Ten seconds later, Xander was in the water as well, frantically trying to pull his brother out from the water. The boy’s head was cracked on the stones at the bottom of the river, and he had drown before Xander could manage to pull the corpse to safety. Xander was, of course, distraught to find out his brother was dead, and at the very moment it happened, a man arrived, dressed in a black robe, and the hood itself so large that it cast an unnatural shadow over his face that light could not manage to penetrate.
“Xander, do you wish to restore your brother?” The man spoke, his voice was eerie, evil, but Xander was frantic, he had to bring his brother alive. The man then walked over to the waterlogged corpse and picked him up. “Follow me, child.” The man walked into the woods that seemed to grow darker and darker by the second, and before long, they had reached a cavern, it was a cult of magicians.
Xander’s memories black out then, but he knew his brother was revived in body, but released in spirit. His brother had been infused with a demonic soul, which took complete possession and control of the body.
Xander awoke the next day, apparently he and his brother were found sleeping on a hill not far from home, an unlikely story, since Xander was certain that what he saw had happened. He turned in his bed to see his brother, sleeping peacefully, but he knew they weren’t the same two brothers anymore. Xander was just by himself now.
Chapter 5: The Unceasing Nightmare Xander and Henry were eighteen years old. Henry, overnight, was consumed by the demon, five years after he had been resurrected with the demon soul. That very night Henry was sent on a rampage, murdering their mother and setting their mansion on fire.
That night was madness at best, Xander had to escape via window on the second floor of the house. He watched as the house burned to the ground in one magnificant blaze. He was powerless to stop the house from being destroyed. “It’s beautiful isn’t it, Xander?” Xander turned to see his brother, his eyes black with blue pupils. His brother then killed Xander, a knife in hand drug across Xander’s face, and then quickly to the throat.
Xander’s body fell to the ground, slaughtered on their lawn.
Xander woke up hours later, his own body, which was killed, was alive once more, but his brother was gone. He knew exactly what had happened. The demon had changed shells. Moving from Henry’s corpse, to sharing a room in Xander’s body. Xander’s soul still remained though, it would not be as simple of a corruption as Henry was.
Chapter 6: Dishonoring the Dead and the Unforgiven Bretrayal – Xander found out the next day that his father survived the fire, but soon after killed himself, drowned himself in a pond. Without Harriet, and he assumed his boys were dead (only half correct), he had no more reason or desire to live. This left Xander alone in the world, except for one person, the demon inside him.
Xander went to the Trading Company of his father’s, he was the only heir now, he was the only one who could continue the business, and it was his duty, he owed that to his father who earned it all just for him and his brother, who was now deceased. Xander was accepted in the Company as if he was Xavier himself, and he showed much promise, but his time there was short lived. A year after his father’s death, the Alliance of Merchants (An international group of trading companies that worked together for profit) decided to cut out the new Heir Merchant. He was not his father, thus they were not obligated to keep the same terms. The Alliance made moves to destroy Xander’s Company Financially, and it worked like a charm. Xander was ruined, sold the company for whatever he could get, and disappeared for a long time.
The story of Xander is far from over, but it’s only a few short years until a decade of his disappearance comes. It is known he returned to the very cult that possessed the demon in his brother’s body, but as to what happened there, or after, is a mystery.
Chapter 7: A New Man, an Evil Plan Recently, Xander has returned, it is obvious by his appearance the demon has made progress in its possession, but it still seems he had twenty years at this rate until he is completely lost. It is also known that he has obtained a very basic control of magic, which he will certainly use to exact his own view of justice and equality.

Magic
Mage Type: Surge Mage
Elemental Affinity: Fire
Spells:
- Spell Name: Surge Proof
Level:Greenhorn
Range:Self
Description: This prevents a surge mage from using the users own spell from effecting them.
Drawback: --- - Spell Name: Surge Arrow
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Close, Medium
Description: The same negative energy that is used to deflect other magical spells from the user is used to fire a single, small (Three Inch Diameter) round bolt of Surge Magic towards another mage with pretty good speed. The arrow itself does not deal any damage, but instead cancels out magical effects on the target, as well as inhibiting the use of any other schools of magic (Excluding only Surge Magic) if no effects were nullified (Such as magical armor spells or anything that positively effects the target), for three seconds (Half a Turn). The speed of the ‘arrow’ is approximately thirty miles per hour (30 mph) and is fired from the open palm of the user.
Drawback: Surge Arrow has no effect on Surge Mages, and cannot effect Surge Magic. No other surge magic spells may be used for three seconds after cast. Only beings that can produce magic energy, use magic energy, or are made up of magic energy (excluding Surge Magic-Only creatures), or magical effects/attacks are effected. This attack deals no direct damage what-so-ever. - Spell Name: Surge Protection
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Self, Close (Touching)
Description: This Surge Magic spell takes the Surge Mage’s energy and encases his own or his target’s skin with a thin coat of Surge Magic, which can nullify a single Non-Surge Magic spell (Greenhorn Level Only). The spell itself, if cast on another person, must be transferred via Surge Mage’s open palm and directly to the target’s skin. The Spell lasts for one weak (Greenhorn level spell) attack or twelve seconds before the magic dissipates.
Drawback: The Target of this spell may not cast any magic as the Surge Protection encases all magic (excluding Surg Magic) and protects from the same. Attempting to cast a spell will destroy the Surge Protection Spell, but likewise nullify the spell cast. The User of Surge Protection can not perform any other Surge Magic Spells until Surge Protection ends, via magic attack or twelve second duration ends. No effect on Non-Magical or Physical attacks. - Spell Name: Spell Grounder
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Close (Touching)
Description: The Surge Mage gathers Surge Magic into their hands for three seconds, which can then be used to redirect a projectile-like spell towards the ground, thus canceling the effect or redirecting it harmlessly to the side. Energy gathered in the hands only lasts for nine seconds, or until two spells are redirected.
Drawback: Requires three seconds to charge the magic, manipulate the Surge Energy in the hand, and requires the user to directly place a hand on the oncoming spell. Not all magic is voided or redirected. Some magics that are redirected can still deal minor damage (i.e. Fire Magic will cause minor burns on the arms, which are not protected by magic, due to intense heat radiating from the attack). Only lasts for two attacks total, or nine seconds after cast. The Surge Mage cannot perform any other Surge Magic skills until Spell Grounder has ended. Can only redirect Greenhorn level of spells. - Spell Name: Magic Seal
Level: Greenhorn
Range: Close (Touching)
Description: The Surge Magic User attacks in close combat, forcing a large portion of his/her Surge Magic into the target, causing the Magic to rest within the Target for Twelve seconds. Within the duration, no magic (Except Surge Magic) can be used, and attempt to do so causes a mild to severe headache (depending on how many spells are attempted within the time of effect). The spell itself does not deal damage, but keeps both the user and target from using any magic, as the user injects nearly all of his or her magic into the target. After Twelve seconds pass (or instantly if the Surge Mage Dies) the magic rushes back to the user. If headaches are caused, mild effects will exist. One spell will cause a mild headache, or slowed casting speed and minor accuracy drop for three seconds after Magic Seal Ends. Two spells canceled while under this effect cause a moderate headache, slightly slowed casting speed and moderate accuracy drop for six seconds after Magic Seal ends. If the victim of Magic Seal attempts three spells while under the effects of Magic Seal, they suffer from a migraine, which doubles cast time, makes accuracy almost non-existent for twelve seconds after Magic Seal ends, yet a moderate lasting effect of pain remains for a total of twenty four seconds (but does not inhibit spell casting or accuracy). Any spell above Greenhorn level cannot be contained by Magic Seal, and Magic Seal is destroyed without stopping the spell. Surge Magic Spells, any level, ignore the Magic Seal spell, so even a target effected by this spell can use Surge Magic.
Drawback: Magic Seal requires a hand on the target to work. All magic spells for the user are disabled, all spells excluding Surge Magic are disabled for the target. Once Magic Seal ends, the User’s magic takes time to return to his or her body, taking approximately one full second for every five meters away from the target/victim of Magic Seal.
