Noir waited for what to him seemed like hours considering Sereno was spending time assuring their employer that they would capture if not chase off her stalker. It irritated him being in a room with a stuck up person and what didn't help was the fact that the person paying them was the person who he was currently stuck hating. He could only imagine what the mother goes through or even pictured just a larger and older version of Sophia. Though the mother would have to be nice considering she would need to be such a way to give her all the things she needed. "This mission is turning into something that I hate." Noir merely stated to himself, closing his eyes and bowing his head slightly before crossing his arms and awaiting for the moment that Sereno decided to join him.
Noir seemed to shutter when he felt Sereno finally appear from the house, one of his eyes opened to look at him as he asked him about being nice to their boss and actually talking to him. His finger tapped his arm as Sereno went on to tell him about how he would like to know what he had planned. "I will show you." Noir merely said, dropping his hands to his sides before he quickly rose his hand towards the garden. Two objects shaped like hearts seemed to appear from no where, the two hearts merely floated before darkness surrounded them. They seemed to become enclosed in an orb of darkness before a cloak rose from the orb and before long two shade troops floated in front of them. "We find the stalker and we take him out." Noir merely said, dropping his hands to his sides as the two shades moved forward, rising above the gate before sitting guard on the outside. "He's probably watching from the darkness as we speak."

Sereno shrugged once more as Noir said he would show him. Really not one for words, that Noir. All the same he watched as Noir summoned his little creatures and sent them off as sentries. “All good and well, but what if our dear stalker decides he wants to come in some other way? Or is particularly sneaky, I’m sure those creatures aren’t infallible.” He felt the need to point out flaws, once they were revealed his worries would either be appeased or the situation would be rectified.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out Gemini’s key. “ahh my dears, almost time for you to make your appearance.” He looked fondly at the key, he was quite attached to it... or at least the spirit that it summoned, though the key was beautiful on its own, it had nothing on the adorable twins an the forms they could take. He held the key in his hand, figuring he could at least wait until the enemy appeared before revealing his beloved secret weapon.
____________________________
The stalker watched the pair from the house next door, the family living there was encased in stone down stairs... he would release them eventually, but for now he was commandeering their home in the name of love. He scoffed at the shadows the first mage summoned, and tskd at the key the second mage pulled out of his pocket. A shade mage and a stellar spirit mage... neither would be enough to stand up to him, together they might even provide a bit of a challenge. But nothing could stop him, he was a man in love.
He exited through the window he had been watching from, and jumped from the ledge to the top of the wall, it was a convenient height. As he alighted on the top of the wall, he cast a spell.
He targeted the ground at the mages feet, the cobble stones immediately liquefied and collapsed into something that looked more like cement and felt like water. He dropped from the top of the wall and immediately prepared to cast another spell as the pair reacted.

Noir remained silent as the soft sound of growls could be heard from the two shades which guarded the gate, almost like two dogs ready to shred should something come near. His body was completely ready to react should something try to attack them from either a distance or attacked up close. Yet he found his attention drawn towards Sereno who stated what if the man was crafty and was thinking of another way to enter than through the gate. He also stated that through this his shades would surely be useless but Noir remained still as his eyes returned to his shades. "My magic revolves around the creation of what people call shades. If I so much as will it they completely bend to my whim but what I cannot control is their actions or mental process. You could think of them as guards who are quite strong but incapable of casting spells. With only two out and about I'm sure they would be able to overwhelm you and kill you in no time even if you do summon a spirit." He said, looking ahead towards his shades which people seemed to doubt that they were useful but they provided perfect long range attacks. Plus since there was two one could distract while the other attacks or even both attack in one move making it quite dangerous should some one underestimate them.
With his attention restored once again, his entire body felt every single thing from the slight breeze in the air to the hard stone under their feet. Well the stone seemed to quickly turn to liquid, almost instantly, which caused Noir's eyes to grow wide before throwing himself up into the air and away from the trap. He quickly turned his head to make sure that Sereno was able to escape from the little surprise attack their target had sprung. The least he could use was dead weight and needing to worry about Sereno should he become trapped in stone. Almost at an instant the two shades seemed to react, letting out strange whisper noises as they quickly rose and ran along the wall which spanned around the house. Should the target remain on the wall instead of hiding, one of them would surely find him and attack and before long the other one wouldn't be to far behind.

Sereno was surprised at Noirs response, he had merely been commenting on how usefull lookouts would be. Strangely... the man had taken offence, as to how was beyond Sorenos limited understanding of the human psyche. So instead of responding he prepared to summon Gemini. Unfortunately he was interrupted by something that, for him... was unexpected. He was suddenly standing ankle deep in what felt like water... he didn’t have time to comprehend what was going on, let alone react before he was encased in stone. “What the fuck? Well this is just great, I feel ever so usefull.” He rolled his eyes and summoned Gemini.
The twins looked up at him from their small stature and immediately touch him and replicate his body. With a sigh and a grin, the copied Sereno shrugs, “I suppose I could steal a spell or two.” Shaking his head he pulled out sword and turned to face the man who had just dropped from the top of the wall. “I suppose your the one who encased me in the stone? That is very unapreaceated!” He charged directly at the mage, more intent on making skin contact than actually cutting him. Gemini wanted to copy him so it could release its master.
Sereno shrugged again and pulled out his own sword, it wasn’t much use, but at least he might be able to deflect a projectile or two. He spoke to Noir in a tone that brooked no argument, “Not a word.” He felt a little useless, but was entirely sure he would be free momentarily. All the same he continued in a tone that was a little more light hearted. “I would dearly like to test out that challenge some day.” He grinned as he watched for any offensive moves used by the stone mage stalker, he was always up for a challenge.
_________
The Mage was offended by the fact that the Shade user had avoided his spell, that was just rude, targets should stay still when they were being attacked. And then the summoner had the audacity to actually summon a spirit after he had been hit by a spell! It was terrible manners. Where he had trained his opponents were polite enough to follow common courtesy!
Keeping track of the shades the stalker focused on Gemini, the shades were too difficult to hit while they were moving. He cast another spell quickly before the spirit could reach him.
He sent the arrows flying one at each of the humanoid targets, Noir, Sereno, and Gemini. With that, he settled plucked the final arrow out of the air and settled into a battle stance, waiting for the assault to come. Assuming the arrow didn’t phase the spirit he was prepared to skewer the creature the moment it was close enough.

Noir couldn't help but letting a sigh loose when Sereno was trapped by the stone which had hardened to make it impossible for him to move. It was quite irritating for now it seemed that it would be him that would be doing most of the work for this mission as his violet eyes studied the stalker. He had caught Gemini out of the corner of his eye transforming into Sereno before they continued on to talk while Sereno told him to keep his mouth shut. He was certainly not the nicest person but he soon found Sereno actually accepting the challenge that he had stated. "It's not my fault if that beautiful face of yours gets cut up." He said, chuckling slightly as his eyes caught the sight of this mage stalker casting another spell which quickly sent an arrow flying in his direction. Noir's violet eyes watched the arrow approaching, estimating when it would be to close to dodge before he side stepped. Though that was without saying that the arrow rode along the side of his arm causing his shirt to rip and blood to spring forth from a clean cut on his arm. "Ugh... Dammit." He said, bringing his arm up before his arm clasped the wound and held it shut.
His shades on the other hand had only just missed the man when he had jumped from the gate, a faint whispering noise coming from them as they changed trajectory. They found themselves flying straight up into the sky before placing one of their hands against each other and turning around to descend. The wind seemed to become visible as they sped up and their extended hands cut through the air like a spear. Eventually they both flew towards the stalker, their hands like spears as they looked to pierce right through the man's armor and hopefully his flesh.

Sereno snorted at Noirs comment about his face, though his witty retort was lost when a giant stone arrow came hurtling towards him. He didn’t have the mobility to actually jump out of the way. His sword certainly going to stop the bloody thing. So he did the only thing he could think of, he sat down. Well it was more of a fall really. He landed on his ass as the rock came hurtling over him. “Well... that was close.” He propped himself up again, rubbing where he had fallen. “Though it would be preferable if it didn’t happen again.”
Gemini however didn’t even alter its course in the face of the stone projectile. Right before the stone hit, it split in two. While Gemi appeared above the stone and Mini appeared below it as Sereno’s form dissipated. Together they leapt through the air and tackled the mage at the same time.
_____________________
The stone mage was furious when all of his attacks missed. And then the shades fell from the sky as the twins leapt at him. He attacked one of the shades, unable to avoid all of the attacks, he thrust the stone arrow towards it as the other attacked him, driving its spear into his left shoulder. His armour shattered as the twins hit him. He fell back, clutching at his shoulder as he attempted to ward off the second shade, not sure whether he had even killed the first.
He placed his hand on the wall behind him and cast another spell,
Stones began tearing themselves from the walls and piling up underneath his feet, molding into a pillar. He needed some room to cast, and this was the easiest way to escape. He sent his last arrow towards the second shade and prepared to cast another spell even as he was pushed up into the air. Sophia would see how powerful he was. He would make it completely obvious to her how superior he was. Just because he was bleeding a little didn’t mean he wouldn’t be able to beat these two imbecels.

The first shade took the hit, the spear piercing the orb that hung suspended within the cloak and it seemingly burst into what seemed like a fine black mist. Though it's sacrifice wasn't for nothing as the spear had gotten the stalker and quickly the second shade backed off from him. The last shade and Noir only watched as a pillar was formed underneath the stalker causing him to rise quickly into the air, making the fight much more visible should anyone look in this vicinity. But sadly when the stalker released the arrow to kill his other shade it just barely missed as it phased through it's body as if it wasn't there. Noir only chuckled as the shade quickly flew close to the pillar before flying up along side of it, spear in hand and ready to strike when it reached it's target. Even Noir seemed interested in this battle now as his fingers tapped at his side.
"Don't think that creating just two is my limit." Noir casually stated, the number of shades he could create could rival an army but their strength would be close to little kids. He merely snapped his fingers causing another shade to form at his side, a growl coming from it as a spear appearing in it's hand and it quickly flew up the side of the house. He was trying to keep them spaced out so when one attacked and was deflected or blocked the other one would be able to come in for a strike. Though he wouldn't be able to constantly make shades forever and he hoped that these two would be enough to end this battle before he was unable to create anymore.

Gemini transformed into the mage, who’s name was apparently Richard. Well he quickly took inventory of the spells he had... deducing that the pair of green-horns would probably win, but that it would probably be a tough fight.... it was not quite over yet. Quickly returning to Sereno’s side, Gemini cast the same stone spell that had been used to in case it’s master in the first place. “This man is insane... he won’t give up untill he is unconscious or dead.”
Sereno leapt out of the once again liquid puddle. Looking at it reproachfully as it resolidified. “Well, I suppose we are lucky I didn’t drop your key in there. Now... is there anything much I can do about our problem up there?” He asked Gemini as he gestured to the mage.
Gemini shook its head negative. “Not while he is up there... and probably not much while he is down either...” it patted Sereno’s cheek and returned its attention to the battle that they had been sadly neglecting. It addressed Noir for a moment, “I would look out, that thing is volatile” It referred to the stone pillar and pointed it out with a vauge wave... it was a little distracted with considering what spell would be most useful in this case.
________________________
Richard shrieked his defiance... though on later recollection he would have referred to it as a roar. As the shade he had missed flew towards him, he released the pillar spell, launching stone projectiles in the direction of his enemies. “You guild hounds have nothing on me! I am more powerful than you and your petty tricks! I will destroy you!” The stones escaped from underneath him as he rapidly dropped to the ground. He cast another spell while the rubble was still being fired from the pillar.
He cast the same spell as before aiming the arrows once more at the humanoids. This time he sent all four at them, two at Noir and two at the pair. He was furious with them, unleashing his attack with another shriek. “Sophia will see how truly amazing I am with your deaths! You will prove to her how amazing I am!” He looked fondly at her window, it’s shutters drawn tight. How he longed for his beloved... he would have her!

Noir looked to Gemini when he mentioned how the tower was actually changeable which only meant that it could be used as a weapon and it probably would be. It seemed that the sight of his shade caused the mage to release the tower, sending rubble flying which the shade casually maneuvered around. Noir on the other hand had a much harder time as he side stepped, ducked and jumped over the stone that flew towards them. The shade merely twirled it's spear as it got closer to it's target and before long he was in range which the shade quickly slashed towards. The other shade on the other hand made a large arc in the sky as it flew downwards right above the mage, it's sword drawn and ready to slash when his attention was diverted towards the other. Though Noir would find himself in quite the pickle with the two new arrows flying towards him.
His violet eyes once again read their trajectory but this time he quickly slung his leg, kicking at the arrows to shatter them which they seemed to do but not before shredding his left leg. He let out a grunt as he felt more blood falling from his body which he quickly tore his sleeves and wrapped them tightly around the wound on his arm and the slices on his leg. He seemed to be getting beat up a lot quicker than Sereno but that was merely due to the fact that he didn't have a sword to defend himself with. If it was morning he could be using his Guardian for defense and he would even be more active on melee attacks against the mage. "Shut up... she doesn't love you." Noir merely said, trying to piss off the man and have his attention towards him so the shades could either knock him out or cause enough damage to have him faint.

As the stones came hurtling towards them, Gemini cast another spell, it had been expecting this.
A wall began building itself before them, plucking the rubble from the sky as it fell. The stone arrows were a different matter; they came hurtling towards them, breaking through the hastily constructed wall. One of them missing Sereno by less than an inch, the other went straight through the form of Gemini, the spirits link being saved only because it sacrificed it’s form. The twins bounced away and immediately returned to the form of Sereno, who was too busy leaping back from the collapsing wall to notice. When he finally did, he nodded... looking a little pale. “I suppose it’s for the best, I couldn’t keep you two supplied with energy for those spells... Afterall, I am still a green-horn.” He grinned as Gemini shrugged.
Sereno and Gemini in concert, charged their opponent.
_____________________
As he was attacked from 4 different sources, Richard cast the same spell Gemini had,
It was stronger than the spirits, Richard was magically stronger than Sereno, so his spell was more effective. It formed a dome around Richard, leaving room for him to escape in case the shades made it in... The top was fragile, it couldn’t hold up to even the weakest of attacks. Diving through his escape rout, he collapsed the dome, hopefully catching at least one of the shades.
He cursed his opponents inside his head Especially the pale one... the one who claimed Sophia didn’t love him. She did! The proof was in the way she held her shutters so tightly closed. She couldn’t stand to see him get hurt. She didn’t understand that physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional pain of a life without her. He would prove that he could take care of her. Prove that he was better than these people.

Noir could only watch as a dome appeared over their target which only caused him to grunt as one of the shades was incapable of hitting but the other one had burst through the top. It slashed towards the mage who only seemed to escape through his own personal exit before the dome collapsed. Supposedly the shade was destroyed as heavy stone fell on top but slowly the rubble began to move which one would assume the thing was still alive. So the mage had incapacitated a shade for now, the other one on the other hand quickly changed trajectory as it went straight down and smashed into the pile of rubble to rescue it's team mate.
Noir decided to finally get into the battle, taking to slow steps before he built up into a fairly good sprint, he seemed to become bored just watching. He might not be the best fighter but he was certainly top notch in martial arts making him suited to battle this mage should he get close enough.

Sereno skidded to a halt as the dome sprung up before him... he didn’t feel like running face first into the thing... Gemini felt the same. The pair were puzzling out what to deo next as the thing collapsed and solved the problem. They took the obvious rout and went around it, trapping the mage with his back against the wall them on eithdr side and Noir and the shades blocking him from scrambling over the rubble. Sereno spoke to the man, who had obviously lost... despite Sereno’s lack of involvement. “Give up, there is little you can do against us. My friend and his shades are a match for you, despite any tricks you might have up your sleeve, there’s not much you can do... you must be soon out of energy, what with all the spells you’ve been casting. Surrender and you can save yourself from further indignities... you have nowhere to escape to.”
Gemini edged closer to the man, prepared for any trick he might play... It wasn’t about to let this man turn things around on them. It knew that someone cornered was desperate... and in Richards’s eyes, he would be failing his beloved... love, even insane love made people do strange things. ___________________________
Richard glared at Sereno, “I will do no such thing, you may have beaten me, but only because of that bastards cheap tricks,” He turned his gaze on Noir as he resigned himself to fleeing. “But I will not be taken by you fools! I am a rea;.l mage! There is nothing you two can do that I can not counter! I will be fine... for now I will retreat, but you will pay!”
Richard cast his spell and turned the pile of rubble before him as well as a good portion of the wall behind him into liquid. The rocks in the pile spread out across the ground creating an enormous pool of liquid stone. As the lower portion of the wall behind liquified, his hand was coated as well as a portion of his back... the coating was thin and he would be able to break it... but he had to get his feet out before he was locked in the stone. The wall started to come apart without it’s lower support as he ran through the hole he had created. turning and running towards the back of the house, he intended to escape through the alley. He had just escaped the stone pool as his spell expired, he didn’t have time to check whether his opponents were locked there, he had to focus on running... he was exhausted and in pain, his arm was killing him and his hand was coated in more stone than he had expected, his low levels of magic hadn’t been able to execute his spell perfectly.

Noir skidded to a halt as he watched Sereno try to keep the man from escaping by backing him to the wall and closing off a good portion of escape routes. Though the man seemed crazy as ever as he told them that he would retreat and that was when Noir knew what this bastard was going to try to do. Before long the pile of rubble turned into liquid causing Noir to snap his fingers to make the one trapped disappear while the one hovering above the pile merely grew slightly. "I'll get that damn mage." He told Sereno as he noticed him escaping through a hole and his mind only told him that he would never think of running straight out into the street. The only other option was around the house which his last shade merely grabbed his shoulders and picked him up above the liquid. It quickly flew up above the house, and over before running along the ground in which the alley way became visible.
He soon caught sight of the fleeing mage which made him smirk as his running would be for naught. "Hey bastard." Noir merely said, pulling his leg back before letting it swing, hopefully knocking him off his feet.

Sereno now had a healthy dislike for the stone mage. This spell pissed him off, his and Gemini’s boots were now encased in stone... well not all of their boots, he squirmed out of his and dismissed Gemini with a sigh, a smile, and a word of thanks. Noir seemed confident in his abilities... Plus Sereno couldn’t sustain the link much longer anyway. With Noir chasing after the bad guy and him being next to useless, he pulled his feet out of his boots. Resigned he trotted after the stalker to see Noir kick him. “I suppose that works for the best...” He felt a little useless, he was thinking about how little he had aided his partner in the battle... all he had done was pull 4 spikes away from Noir... aside from that... he had been next to useless.
_____________________--
Richard was confident in his escape, it didn’t occur to him that one of the shades would carry it’s master. So when Noir appeared in front of him suddenly, he was unprepared to say the least. When the mage kicked him, he fell flat on his back, winded. The look on his face was an amusing combination of fury, confusion, despair, and resentment. He incoherently cursed at his assailant... the occasional foul words coming out of his mouth. He wanted to kill them all, In a last ditch effort, he used the last of his energy to cast a final spell.
The arrows formed ouit of the ground beneath him, rapidly forming from the rocks around him. They launched directly at Noir and his shade.

Noir chuckled as he heard the stalker speak in such a way as he heard what seemed to be curse word after curse word sling its way from this man's mouth. "I cannot believe you actually thought some one would love you by following them." Noir merely stated, the grip on his shoulders from his shade seemed to tighten as whispers escaped its lips. "You were merely setting yourself up for such a disaster to happen for it was the girl who you loved who told us to capture you and turn you over." He said, closing his eyes and bowing his head as the head of the shade shook slowly as it seemed to listen to what Noir was saying. "Cussing wont change the fact that you lost." He said, the shade quickly reacting to the attack as it pulled Noir away from the assault. Yet a stone arrow stuck out from the back of his leg as it had found itself a pretty comfortable home in his flesh.
His shade only disappeared into a fine mist of darkness as Noir flopped down on the ground, unconscious from the new wound he had received and the blood that had leaked out gradually from the past two cuts. It seemed that Sereno would find himself being much more important than he thought he was going to be.
