The day seemed to be slowly disappearing as the sun was hung up in the sky past it's mid way mark as the sky took on a purple and red like color. Noir had been straight forward when Sereno had accepted to allow him to accompany him on the mission and even though it seemed like Noir just marching forward into danger, he was thinking. This mission was dangerous considering it was C Rank and that meant that he could be harmed if the stalker turned out to be a mage who was after the girl. Noir had went so far as to factor that into the possibilities of the stalker and he knew that was the most dangerous for who knew what that mage would be able to do. Though this possibility seemed much more uncommon than that of just a boy who had a crush on this girl. Even now Noir was thinking that was the culprit but he would need to find out more on the girl who had proposed the mission.
His feet tapped against the ground as he walked, his arms frozen at his side as his cloak flowed behind him gently on the soft breeze that had developed at the end of the day. He let out a sigh as he tried to get further and further into the mission as quickly as he could so he could get it over with. More missions were hung up and needed doing and since this was his first mission he would need to take this more seriously than he currently was. Maybe discussing a tactic with Sereno was needed but he highly doubted this was going to be as bad as them fighting anything to strong. It was a good thing the girl had her address on the paper or this would make it much harder. It was certainly a good idea to scope the city earlier or else he might have ended up lost. But All they really needed to do was track her down and maybe set up some guards while they did what he was going to suggest. The best idea he had, hunt the stalker.

Sereno walked beside his apparent partner. “Well I just thought it should be said that the easiest way to catch an animal is to lay a trap... you just have to make sure the bait is juicy enough. And seeing as, well if we assume this girl is being stalked... the best bait would be her, or at least someone who looked exactly like her and could mirror her every move. Now if only we had someone capable of doing such amazing things? Oh wait. We do.” He gestured to himself. “Meet the Stellar Spirit caster Soreno Roderick! The man who has a contract with a pair of beautiful twins capable of doing just that!” He pulled out his beloved golden key with a flourish.
Then he turned to his partner, “What exactly do you do oh illustrious mage of mysteries and tunnel vision?” He stretched out his arms and placed his hands behind his head. His hair was already braided and laced with its spiky hair piece, so he was careful to avoid it. Still he looked as proud as he generally felt; that he had often been compared to a peacock was unsurprising, not because people thought he was overly attractive, simply because he enjoyed making people look at him.

Noir's eyes looked at his partner who had caught up and was now walking beside him and he only listened intently to what the man said as he suggested that they laid a trap. Even for a second he believed that this man was willing to use their employer as bait which would be a bad idea. They would probably be fired if they went straight up to the girl and told her to stand around and wait for a weirdo to come up and try to take her. Though it became apparent that he meant something else as he stated how he had twins who could copy the girl and even told him what he could do and his name. "Soreno... Roderick." He repeated, his eyes once again looking ahead as he continued to walk forward. "Stellar Spirit Magic." He once again repeated to himself as he closed his eyes and once again recalled that type of magic.
His conversation was quickly broke though as he heard Soreno ask him about what he could do which only caused him to bow his head slowly, closing his eyes in the process. "Shade Magic, Noir." He merely said, being straight to the point as he stated which type of magic he used and his name. He might as well get such things out of the way considering he didn't want to be pestered by twenty questions on his name and other things. "You dress very... flashy." He said, looking at Soreno once again from the corner of his eyes as he 'lead' them down the street, the girls house very close by to the guild making it easier on him to walk there. Who knows maybe it would become night time when they finally begin the mission and he can rid himself of his cloak for better maneuverability.

Soreno nodded appreciatively when Noir told him his name and magic. He wasn’t one for spells, but he could appreciate them, even if he lacked the aptitude. But when Noir informed him he dressed flashy he grinned and responded with mock surprise. “Me? Flashy? How could you say such a thing, with me wearing this drab piece of clothing?” Then he shrugged and continued, if not seriously... then not sarcastically anymore. “What can I say I strive to draw all eyes to me!” He bowed with another flourish as they walked down the street.
He took a moment to examine Noir once more, and came up with the same analasys. “If I am flashy, you my violet eyed friend. Are ever so melodramatic, with a black cloak to hide you from the eyes of the world, you appear entirely too unapproachable.” He shook his head and sighed once more with mock disappointment, “I am sure with those eyes and the proper clothing you could be a beauty.” He looked up the street, not exactly sure where they were going, but figuring Noir would... the man did after all have the job slip.

Soreno seemed to enjoy attention as he seemed to mock Noir when he had stated that his clothing was rather flashy when compared to most peoples. He heard him sputter words about how Noir could call his clothing flash when he stated that his clothing was drab which only told Noir that Soreno was being sarcastic. Then finally he reassured when Noir thought when he told him how he strives to have all eyes on him. Noir remained pretty much silent from then on as Soreno only seemed to continue as he told him that with the cloak he seemed unapproachable. Which Noir understood and agreed with considering he did look rather evil and notorious considering he seemed to be a complete mystery. The only thing visible was the faint glow of his violet eyes which only seemed to peer out as they attained more and more information from the surroundings.
"Watch." Noir said, showing rather than telling as his left hand moved over to his right and pulled the glove up to reveal the end of the Fairy Tail mark on his right palm. Even with such little light and little skin, the pale skin seemed to turn a deep red quickly, showing that it was becoming irritated. For a second one could even swear that smoke was going to appear but before such a thing occurred Noir pulled the glove back down. His hands only dropped to his side as he looked at Soreno to catch his reaction. Though Noir seemed focused as well on their surroundings.

Soreno glanced back to Noir when he was told, he tended to respond well to commands. When he saw the hand start to go red he was confused for a moment, but when he realised what was happening, he winced. “Sunburn? That fast?” he shook his head, something he did rather often. “You have my sympathy oh pale one! I shall no longer insult your poor clothing taste, believing that should you have a choice you would wear something that showed a little skin, and let the world see your face. Alas, you are confined to the shadows of your cloak...” He shuddered overdramatically. “I can not imagine what horrors you have to go through should you lose you cloak in real daylight.” He brushed a stray hair away from his face and looked back to the road.
“SO, where are we headed by the way? I mean you after all, have the job slip and I am but a poor man with little sense of direction and only my few wits to keep me from wondering through this town for years before finally arriving at our destination.” He gestured broadly to their surroundings that honestly shouldn’t have confused anyone with the slightest sense of direction. “Anyway, I like to know where I am going even if I don’t know how to get there.”

He couldn't keep his hand from twitching slightly when he heard him retort on how he got a sun burn so quickly and the word burn was putting it lightly. He was instantly irritated when Soreno had decided to call him a pale one, which though was true only made him hate the fact that he was so pale even more. His clothing didn't seem to even pull half of the attention Soreno was gathering as people momentarily looked up to see the raving lunatic speak. Noir could only let out a sigh as he heard him state how he couldn't even imagine the horrors should he lose his cloak. "Well... imagine some one stabbing your eyes with daggers blinding you and then they light your body on fire and merely watch you cook." Noir merely said, his index finger taping against his leg slightly as that was the kind of pain that he went through when ever he lost his cloak, which was rare but had happened.
The conversation seemed to change rapidly as they went from his condition to the location of where the girl was and just where they were heading. Noir found himself stopping when Soreno finally finished speaking and he turned towards one of the buildings to the right side of the street. His eyes momentarily glanced towards the darkening side, the stalker should be out and about around now and soon he would be able to leave his shell of a cloak. Though he remained silent as he wandered through a gate that enclosed a house, the fine smell of roses in the air as a small garden of assorted flowers ran along the sides of the pathway. Eventually he reached the door which he knocked twice on, his hand in his pocket, ready to show who ever was their the mission paper.

Soreno shook his head, being burned alive would indeed be painful. Apparently the guy had sensitive eyes too... which was to be expected really, the shade was pretty, albeit unnatural... it must have something to do with his condition. “I don’t think I shall. imagine it that is, it’s all rather unpleasant.” He cracked his neck; he wasn’t one to dwell on pain or suffering. He had an undeniably optimistic attitude. When he realised Noir had turned away, he spun around and did a cartwheel... just so no one would think him an unaware idiot. And idiot who knew he had been stupid was somehow better than one who did not.
He caught up with Noir as he knocked on the door, between the street and the door, he had acquired one of the flowers that scented the air and was twirling it between his fingers, avoiding the thorns. “So I presume this is the place of our poor paranoid maiden?” He leaned against the wall as they waited for the door to open... he didn’t have to wait long.
___________________________________________
The door opened to reveal a buxom young woman with bright red hair and a generally haughty appearance. Her dress extended from neck to heel, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t increadably revealing. The fabric gripped her tightly and made her hour glass figure stand out all the more. It was just asking to be taken off... She however was entirely satisfied with keeping it on. Let the men look on and drool, she would laugh and deny them, she was a lady.
She flared her nostrils at Soreno, eyes alighting on the flower he had plucked from her garden. “And what can I do for such charming young men” The way she spoke, she made the word charming sound like an insult. She reached out and plucked the rose from Soreno’s hand, dropping it to the floor and crushing it. “So kind of you to bring a lady a flower from her own garden!” Every word was venom as she spoke to him. She was in a bad mood.
When she turned back to Noir, she looked at him expectantly as if he should answer for what Soreno had done. “Well? Who are you and what can I ever do to help you on your way.” That could have sounded gracious, with the right tone and intonation... but from her, it sounded as rude as ever.

Noir was just about to respond to what Soreno had said about this being the house of the person they were supposed to protect but his attention quickly shifted to the door opening. He was soon met with the image of a rather beautiful woman who seemed curious on why they were here. But she seemed to change in only a moment as she noticed that Soreno had plucked a flower from her garden and she only seemed outraged at why they were there. Though all her insults and such seemed to fly right over Noir's head as his violet eyes stared at her and his face was devoid of emotion. It was only when she asked what she could do for them to get them out of there that his hand gripped the paper. "We're here for business." He said, pulling the paper from his pocket as his finger rose and allowed it to drop to reveal the mission. He placed it nice and square in front of her face just to make sure she noticed it.
"That is unless you would like to live with your little stalker." He said, motioning towards how rude she seemed to be towards them since they came to help her. It would certainly be rare to have some one just knocking on your door to annoy you since most of the time people meant business when they came to their door. "May we come in?"

Soreno made a bow as Noir explained who they were. He was very much intent on being as large as possible, displaying his servitude like a badge. As he straightened, he picked up the rose from where she crushed it and attached it to his collar, the crushed red flower looking rather startling in contrast to his clothing. He placed a hand on Noirs shoulder and smiled enigmatically at her. “We are here to do your bidding and rid you of the fiend that has thought to haunt such a beauty.” He knew how to work with women like this. Flattery did wonders.
“So our fair patron we are here only to do your bidding and anything you might ask of us. My sword and my life are laid out before you. In defence of your beauty and splendour.” OK, so maybe he was over-doing it a bit... but it always helped to let a woman know how beautiful she was. And she was gorgeous. Her face was like that of a porcelain doll, her skin, in contrast to her red hair and emrald dress, looked almost as pale as Noirs. How he would love to see more. “Soreno and Noir at your service!” He took her hand and brought it to his lips with another flourish.
__________
Taken aback by the fact that they were mages, she lost some –not all or even a majority- of her haughty air and blushed slightly. But Noirs response put her back up once more. She placed her hands on her hips and had not Soren interfered, she probably would have said something outrageous. But he spoke so well of her that she decided the pair couldn’t be that bad. When Soren took her hand she was a little surprised at his attempts at gallantry... he was a bit too much of a clown to pull it off, but all the same.
She took her hand back and somewhat mellowed. “My name is Sophia Beram. You will refer to me as Sophia, Ms. Beram is my mother, and Sophy is a little girls name. My mother hired you because a man has been watching me of late, last night after that had been posted." She gestured to the job slip. "He attempted to grab me as I was walking home. You will please deal with him.” She turned and indicated they should follow her into her home, leading them to the living room.

Noir was rather quiet after talking as he only watched her seem to swell up as if ready to attack him after his little comment on her living with her stalker. Yet Soreno took the lead as he began to flatter the girl through many different means but his words to him seemed as only ways to suck up to her. Since she was related to the employer and they were supposed to be her guard the least she could do was show respect and be nice. But even now he only watched as Soreno complemented her on her beauty and even went so far as to bring her hand up to his lips. He seemed to ignore the two completely as he turned his gaze over his shoulder, checking the gate of the house as if looking for something. In fact he was quite curious on his he would be able to see any eyes peeking out in the darkness that had over swept the city. Though it seemed that nothing was visible and the streets were clear of any people.
His attention returned to them as she explained how she will be called Sophia and nothing else which would only lead to them insulting her if they used any other name. When she finally allowed them into the house, he wandered it, his violet eyes scanning the home as he found himself in the living room. It was certainly a nice house, just as great as it was on the outside as pictures were hung about the living room. The most prominent were of Sophia probably from the past when she was much smaller to the days of now. He honestly found no value whats so ever in the house though but that was to be expected from some one who didn't really care so much about things. He soon found his eyes returning to Soreno, he would probably be more well treated for showing so much flattery.
"Quite the home." Noir pretty much said, his violet eyes closing as he could tell the sun had set, darkness filling the streets and now was the time that he could remove his cloak. He merely grabbed the zipper and pulled it down, allowing it to slip off of his shoulders as it reveal his body. He was rather frail looking, his clothing more along the lines of fancy clothing as he wore a buttoned white shirt with a collar and a vest. A black tie ran down the front of the shirt and his black pants fit perfectly around his legs. His black hair was completely parted to one side, blocking view of his left eye while his violet eye stared a head. In clear view one would now be able to see the slitted pupil his eye which replace a normal more round shaped pupil. "Shall we get down to business?"

Soreno followed them in, watching the dress grip their hostess as she walked. It was no wonder the girl was being stalked, her temper probably kept some poor awkward soul from approaching her in public. As they wandered into the house and eventually to the living room, Soreno took account of the wealth surrounding them. He tried to identify show pieces and things of genuine value out of habit... but he was out of practice and couldn’t be sure which was which.
Soreno kept it up as Noir spoke his few words, except he watched his partner instead. He knew Noir must have some sense of fashion, and despite the lack of color, it managed to look attractive on him. Adding color would have just made him look more washed out than he was... if that was possible. When it was clear he was done, Soreno felt the need to pitch in his two cents. “It is indeed a beautiful house, your taste is impeccable, as would be expected of someone with your natural air of beauty.” He took up a position in front of the window, framing his bright figure with the quickly fading light of the sun. “But he has a wonderful point, you are concerned for your safety and it is our duty to protect you from this stalker. We have some ideas as of how to apprehend this man... but this is all about you.” He smiled and gave her a look that ensured his sincerity. The fact that he was sincere because of the money was irrelevant.
____________________
Sophia ignored Noir for the most part, addressing him only when it was nessicary. The man was creepy with his violet eyes and pale skin... it was better with that horrid cloak on! So she focussed on the colourful one, Soreno. Unfortunately despite Sorenos pleasant disposition and outgoing nature... Noir seemed to be the more knowledgeable of the two. He would have to be with his poor people skills... or else no one would willingly put up with him!
She addressed the pair of them, “My mother attached that note to make it seem oh so desperate. Which, I suppose, now it is. I” She gestured to herself and spoke as if it was unbelievable “Sophia Beram! Have been accosted by this man! I want him imprisoned and locked up for the rest of his life!” She was completely upset now, she honestly hadn’t slept well last night, and was becoming genuinely worried about her stalker. “Do whatever you think is best!”

Noir looked to them to discuss a plan but when he was done Soreno only seemed to flatter the girl some more by stating how, from her beauty, the house was indeed beautiful itself. He also mentioned how they had a few ideas on how to stop the culprit but he also stated that it was all about her. Soreno seemed very skilled in giving people an ego rub but that was probably the reason why Sophia acted all high and might. His eyes closed and his hands slid into his pockets as it seemed it was Sophia's turn to speak as she spoke in an overly dramatic way and seemed to mimic the way Soreno acted. This was through her pointing to herself, stating her name and even saying that the stalker had initiated a challenge. He listened to her and how she wanted the person threw in jail and when it seemed that she had finally run out of steam Noir decided to move. His eyes only opened as he made his way past Sophia and out the front door, Soreno could choose his route of whether to follow or not.
His first idea was of course to set up a perimeter around the house, though that would prove to only act as a way to scare off the perpetrator if he happened to be nearby. Certainly with his skills it would take no time at all to find the stalker if he was around at this time. For unlike most he could create some troops who could help out at a time like this. Yet even now he decided to stick with their original plan of baiting the stalker and Noir stood outside in the gardens. He only hoped that Soreno didn't get to lost in speaking to Sophia and doesn't create the bait that is specifically needed for this to work.

(just to make things more interesting, the stalker is a mage... ummm i’m not sure how to do this and there is no admin online, so I’m just going to make up spells for him)
Sereno rolled his eyes as Noir got up and walked out. The man lacked people skills and apparently the ability to have an actual conversation as well. All of this frustrated Sereno, seeing as he was a people person and withered without conversation. Add onto that a lack of communication on a mission wasn’t exactly ideal, Noir might eventually manage to get on Sereno’s nerves. But for now, he just shook his head and shrugged.
He turned to Sophia, “My dear woman, we will do whatever it takes to remove your stalker, whether it be incarceration or send him fleeing back to wherever he came from. This man will be unable to stand up in our presence, i doubt he is more than a man obsessed with your evident beauty. We will deal with him and have you feeling safe in no time at all. Now, it would be appreciated if you would go and stay in your room, lock the door and shutters on the windows.” He nodded to her with a smile and turned to follow Noir.
When he was sure he was out of earshot, and when he had once again caught up with Noir, he started talking... again. “Would it hurt you to be polite to our boss? Whether or not she actually put the bill up, she’s the one who says if we get paid. On top of that... don’t you think we could talk about what to do?” He kept his tone light hoping Noir wouldn’t take offence. “Actually I would settle for just knowing what you are going to do, and what you want me to do.”
________________
Sophia was offended when Noir walked out the door without a word, he didn’t even try to be polite! He had better do his damned job... and well! If the majority of mages were like him, she didn’t think she would let her mother hire them again! With a sigh she listened to what the pleasant mage was saying and did as she was told as he ran off like an overexcited puppy. He was nice though, if over excitable.
She went up to her room and locked the door behind her, immediately going over to the shutters, pulling them closed and closing the latch. She had little better to do than wait now, she couldn’t wait to see her stalker in chains, being led off to prison for life! She entertained the thought as she set about her evening rituals, stopping before changing into her night gown. She might have to talk to them again and well... that would just be indecent.
_________________
Mages! Her mother had hired mages? The stupid woman, didn’t she see how they were destined to be together? His dear Sophie’s earlier reaction had been out of surprise, she knew they were meant to be together. He had known from the moment they had met in the capital! Their eyes had met and it had been love at first sight, a connection that lasts a life time. He hadn’t been able to wait for her return, so he had followed her home, just waiting for the perfect moment to approach her...
But if her mother was going to hire these pathetic mages, he would take the opportunity to prove to Sophie how incredible he was. He would get rid of the pair and then sweep in to rescue her, like a dashing knight and his princess, it was an entirely suitable analogy, there was even a wicked step-mother!
He rubbed his hands together and prepared to launch his attack on the two simpletons just exiting the house. They would never know what hit them!
